The three-mile drive down our private dirt road takes you past valleys of Joshua Trees and through the hypnotic terrain of granite rock formations that stack and tower in sculptural feats as far as the eye can see.
There is an otherworldly sense of arrival upon turning into the driveway at Sol to Soul. The all-white house is dramatically sited under the watchful gaze of Whale Rock, our affectionately-named sentinel and reminder of the ancient past, when a sea once flowed here.
In some cultures it is believed that rocks are the most permanent and stable anchor of the divine. We agree. With 10-acres to explore — or admire from the saltwater hot tub — our hope is that everyone who stays at Sol will have some experience with the magical.
“I have always loved the desert. One sits down on a desert sand dune, sees nothing, hears nothing. Yet through the silence something throbs, and gleams.”
~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
